Co-working is a style of work that involves a shared workplace geared toward creativity and innovation. The idea is that although workers are usually not employed by the same organization and they work independently, they are able to network, learn and share ideas.
Get ready to shake up your work life. TYPros, The Forge, The Mine and other community partners have teamed up to bring co-working to Tulsa by opening the doors of a converted downtown warehouse to anyone who wants a taste of a true collaborative environment.
Work hard: Spend as long as you want — an hour, two hours, the whole day — alongside a wide array of professionals from all walks of life. All you’ll need is a laptop; WIFI and coffee are free. A national expert on the co-working movement will present on the benefits of co-working at 4:30 p.m. At lunch, a Forge Ahead event (additional $15) will highlight how entrepreneurs can boost their workplace cultures.
Play hard: After a hard day’s work, you’ll need some play time. At 6 p.m., the co-working space transforms into party central, complete with cocktails, a DJ and an art gallery as part of Brady District’s First Friday Art Crawl.
