TYPROS Ambassadors promote Tulsa and TYPROS with a focus on attracting young talent to Tulsa. Ambassadors are chosen annually through a selective application process in the Fall.
Intern in Tulsa
Intern in Tulsa is a summer event series designed specifically for young professionals who are interning in Tulsa. TYPROS curates a list of events and networking opportunities so interns can connect with other young people in Tulsa, get to know the local hotspots, and experience all the arts, culture and entertainment Tulsa has to offer.
The TYPROS Foundation provides strategic funding to projects that engage young Tulsans in placemaking, innovation and community development. Each summer, the TYPROS Foundation selects several projects from community submissions that will #MakeTulsaAwesome. Notable past grantees include the Great Raft Race, the Outsiders House Museum, Tulsa Flag and the Black Wall St. mural.
Street Cred is TYPROS’ annual community redevelopment project. The event started in 2011 to highlight the Pearl District’s potential for development. Each year, Street Cred focuses on a different neighborhood or area of Tulsa that has great potential for commercial and residential development. Other Street Creds looked at downtown parking lots, Route 66, Red Fork and South Peoria.
The Boomtown Awards is the largest annual fundraiser benefiting the TYPROS Foundation. This event brings together some of Tulsa’s most dedicated movers and shakers who are working to make the city we love even better. The evening will be honoring individuals, companies and organizations who support TYPROS' mission to attract and retain young, creative talent to the Tulsa region.
Get on Board
One of TYPROS’ most popular and well-known programs, Get On Board places accepted applicants in local nonprofit board internships. Applicants are able to rank their preferences for nonprofits and serve for year-long terms from January to December.
